Icon Grid Problems

When I made the icons smaller, the "align to grid" function stopped working. Or, the grid got so small, it is as if it doesn't work.

What version of ubuntu are you running? What did you set the icons to?

On my kubuntu dapper amd64 with latest updates, I can make the icons smaller (16pixels) and the grid is the right size.

On another note, it took me a while to find the setting for the icon size. It's in a very unintuitive place. There should be SOME way to get to it through the desktop's right click menu.

I experienced this in Dapper and the workaround on the first link fixed it.

You might just want to mark this as an upstream bug.

I just created a new user on my Dapper machine and the issue seems to
be resolved.
