Bug Description

Thinkpad 600e

Problem 1: Can't type special boot commands. Tried to use floppy=thinkpad after
an unsuccessful boot. Message returned (to the effect of) "kernal
floppy=thinkpad not available"

Problem 2: Really problem 1. At the point when the boot process says ID 1 then
ID3 then ID6 , etc, it says it will wait five minutes. After 5 minutes it checks
IDs again, ad infinitum.

So I have never seen kubuntu on my PC. I am currently using an early version of
ubuntu...

I hope this helps

Read the help at the boot prompt for instructions for specifying options.

Does the problem still occur with current Dapper?

This bug has no confirmation of anyone else (there are quite a lot thinkpad users), and no update from original poster (which posted it before breezy). Rejecting it
