Bug Description
On powering off (shutting down) the computer (Kubuntu 21.04 as on 8 Mar 2021), console messages (probably from the kernel) briefly appear before the Plymouth splash screen does, creating a less-than-desirable user experience. After that the messages disappear and the regular splash screen appears until the computer powers off.
I don't know what is causing the problem, but it wasn't there before. I've tried all combinations in /etc/systemd/
