Kubuntu-Active top menu pull down crash

Please see below link. When pulling the menu down kwin crashes. Worked out with KDE team.

In short, kwinactive is missing (or needs to be renamed?) running ln -s /usr/share/kde4/apps/kwin /usr/share/kde4/apps/kwinactive prevents crash.
