I don't know if a fix for this will be allowed seeing as there is only 2 months until End of Life for Kubuntu 8.04.

You should be able to install the kubuntu-docs package by forcing it if need be by using 'dpkg --force-overwrite -i $pkg'

Kubuntu 8.04 is not a long term support release, and is going end of life within the month, so getting this fixed and uploaded would be impossible to get through. There is a patch in 9.04 to fix this same problem, and it is having a hard enough time getting uploaded. Thanks.
