Is this reproducible when using the ubuntu-logo plymouth theme? (verifiable by installing plymouth- theme-ubuntu- logo and running sudo update-alternatives --set default.plymouth /lib/plymouth/ themes/ ubuntu- logo/ubuntu- logo.plymouth)
