Bug Description

Kaffeine codec installer bug: infinite loop in ".3gp" codec installation.
Error message: "Error: Codec package is already installed."

Similar problem in ".rm" codec installation.

I use a clean installation of Kubuntu 8.04-KDE3 for i386.

This bug appeared after upgrading to 8.04, when individually installed packages from Medibuntu were removed.

I get the same thing when trying to play the Quicktime video from http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/phoenix/images/press/hammer-test.html but it plays OK if I first save the file to disk.

I can confirm this bug with 3gp

Kubuntu 8.04 with kde 3.5
clean install with Medibuntu repositories

I am also getting the codec install loop while trying to watch 3gp movie files.

libxine-ffmpeg 1.1.11.1 / libavcodecd1 3:0.cvs20070307-5

If it's any use, the console output is:
