I have this problem too - especially annoying as the minimum (& default) width of the window is wider than my screen width. I can resize the window wider but not narrower.

Bug fixed in KDE 4.3 trunk (I have no right as KSystemLog main developer on the Launchpad tracker)

Should that be version 0.4? Still does not want to resize in KDE 4.3 (4:4.3.0-0ubuntu1~jaunty1~ppa1)

However, there is something strange here. If ksystemlog is started from the konsole, resizing is possible! When started from krunner or the menu, vertical resize does not work.
