Thank you for filing this bug.

Is this still a problem with KDE 3.5.6?
Do you have translucency enabled? That might cause this problem.
Could you post a screenshot somehow?

Hi! I don't know if with KDE 3.5.6 there is this problem: I've a big problem upgrading to feisty, and now feisty doesn't work with my sata controller... actually I'm without ubuntu on my PC :-(

Once I reinstall ubuntu I'll try to upgrade only KDE for test this.

Hi!

P.S: I haven't translucency enabled.

Ok, finally feisty is still working on my PC, so I've make some screenshot. The graphic problem with ksplash is still present. I've used ksnapshot to grab some examples.

The "animated icons" have all the black background. I've grabbed all two monitors, the shadow you'll see in the middle is caused by beryl, but without beryl the problem is exactly the same.

It seems a mooding engine problem not a ksplash one...

Could you try the "Default" ksplash theme, or another that doesn't use the moodin engine?

Mhh... I've just tried, the problem is only with the themes that use the mooding engine. The others are right.
