Hi,

Do you have a record of the crash?

Could you look in /var/crash and see if there are any packagekit related
files there please?

Thanks,

James

Hi James,

just checked in '/var/crash'
the directory is empty, only '.directory' file is there

Hi,

It's not going to be possible to fix this bug without knowing what
actually happened then.

Is the problem reproducible? If you remove the package and then
install it again does it crash?

Thanks,

James

Hi James,

disinstalled unetbootin in konsole:
sudo apt-get purge unetbootin
sudo apt-get autoremove (to remove dependencies)

THEN started KPackageKit and reinstalled unetbootin

KPackageKit crashed again, it's reproducible. /var/crash still empty.

If you tell me how to do, I can give you more documentations/informations

Ciao,
SamioSeven

Ok, can you describe a bit more about what you mean by "crash"? Does
the window just close, or do you get an error?

Can you launchpad kpackagekit from a terminal and try again to see
if there is any information printed to the console?

Thanks,

James

This was the point at which it crashed?

Thanks,

James

Hi,

Yes, that was the point at which it crashed.

With apt-get and adept I have no problem.
