Bug Description
Binary package hint: kpackagekit
In KDE 4.2.2 on Kubuntu 9.04,
KPackageKit and/or KDE Control Center put up an alert that was truncated. I took a screenshot (after moving the alert to expose the dialog underneath), see attachment.
I resized the alert to read the full message, but the whole thing should have been visible.
After I resized, the alert is
Cannot get the exclusive lock on the packaging backend.
Please close any other legacy packaging tools that may be open.
I think the circumstances were I was adding a new software source in KPackageKit while Software Update was downloading some security updates, and that has locked up both of them. I'll file a separate bug for that, this bug report is just the cosmetic display bug.
