Bug Description

Binary package hint: kopete

Kopete tries to connect to a WLM account and fails, and the program exits. It writes the following in the console:

kopete: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/kde4/kopete_wlm.so: undefined symbol: _ZN3MSN28NotificationServerConnection15setFriendlyNameESsb

In the KDE Bug Tracking system (http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=179999) it has been said to be a packaging issue that must be resolved downstream, and that it's related to libmsn.

No, this has long been fixed. It is possible that you have an older version of a self-compiled libmsn hanging around, which I would recommend uninstalling.
