Konversation Crashes on DCC Chat

Binary package hint: konversation

What happens: When you send a DCC CHAT request, konversation crashes.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Connect to irc. (in this case, I was on irc.freenode.net 8001
2. Join a channel (in this case, it was #kubuntu-devel)
3. Run the command "/dcc chat <nick>" (undisclosed, since I don't want my bot attacked)
4. Watch as konversation krashes.

I'm unable to reproduce this on Edgy, Konversation 1.0.1 Is it still a problem for you?

I'm not running feisty, so I can't confirm this. Can anyone replicate this crash?

Known bug in 1.0.1. You can void it by disabling "Focus on new tabs". Fixed in SVN.

I asked Konversation's upstream maintainer whether we can expect a release before Hardy:

<apachelogger> Sho_: hey, do you think there will be a new konversation release before mid-april?
<Sho_> apachelogger: I don't know. I hope so, but it depends on when some people manage to finish some stuff. I talked to Tonio already earlier today, though (assuming you're asking due to Kubuntu).

Ultimately we should ask in April again and patch the sources if Konversation doesn't roll a new release before Hardy - the fix is available at http://websvn.kde.org/?view=rev&revision=605705
