Bug Description

If I have amarok playing, resizing konsole causes a crash to login screen. I have checked dmesg and the syslog and nothing is logged there. This happens with the binary and open source ati driver. I suspected bad ram or some such, but memtest came back clean. It seems to be only konsole that triggers a crash.

keyvin@keyvin-MS-7756:~$ lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 12.10
Release: 12.10

keyvin@keyvin-MS-7756:~$ apt-cache policy konsole
konsole:
  Installed: 4:4.9.5-0ubuntu0.1
  Candidate: 4:4.9.5-0ubuntu0.1
  Version table:
 *** 4:4.9.5-0ubuntu0.1 0
        500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ quantal-updates/universe amd64 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
     4:4.9.2-0ubuntu1 0
        500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ quantal/universe amd64 Packages

I expected the window to resize. Resulted in crash instead.

Ok, disabling all desktop effects seems to alleviate this issue mostly. However I discovered that resizing lxterm always results in the same crash. Here is lspci if that is helpful.

I guess I could be more clear. Resizing lxterm results in a crash even with desktop effects off.
