Bug Description

When typing text into the Google searchbar in Konqueror (Kubuntu 7.10 RC), the suggestions are displayed incorrectly.

E.g. I type in "joplin" and the list starts with:

joplin globe (k)
516 (k)
000 results (k)
joplin mo (k)
2 (k)
340 (k)
000 results (k)
...

In other words, each entry is split over several lines.

Thanks for reporting this issue and helping to make Kubuntu better.

I could not reproduce this problem on the latest KDE package for gutsy (3.5.9) or hardy. Could you please re-test this on the newest version. If you can re-produce it, could you please give detailed steps, how it can be reproduced (does it have to do with the size of Konqueror etc.)

Thanks.

Reproducible here. This is a new (physical) system with a more-or-less vanilla installation of Kubuntu 7.10 AMD64, upgraded to Hardy Beta yesterday. Tried with Konqueror at about 2/3 of the screen width and height and fullscreen. (Resolution is 1400x1050 FYI).

This feature is being reintroduced in KDE 4.4, and it doesn't have this bug. (See also: http://fyanardi.wordpress.com/2009/06/28/hello-world-and-a-little-feature-for-konqueror/)
