kompozer crashes when image is inserted

Binary package hint: kompozer

This is a spin-off of bug #263441 for the image-insertion crash.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open kompozer
2. Press toolbar button "Image"
3. Press open button at the right of the input box in the dialog
4. Select an existing image, press "Open"
5. *crash*

Error message for normal build.
    pure virtual method called
    terminate called without an active exception
    Aborted (core dumped)

Please find a gdb session attached of a build with debugging enabled.

I can reproduce this with intrepid up-to-date as of 29-Oct-2008 with the steps above and with the same error messages.

The same crash can be triggered at least with both "Link" and "Image" buttons, by using the "folder" icon in the appearing dialogs to browse for the file to be linked. When the file selection dialog is closed (with either OK or with Cancel), the crash described above will occur.

Kompozer keeps closing on inserting pictures regardless of approach to inserts in Ubuntu 8.10.

Upstream is working on it, please see bug #263441. Pre-alpha test packages from the developer are available as mentioned on https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kompozer/+bug/263441/comments/26 . Please be patient for a little longer.

Kompozer crashes when we try to insert new rows and columns in table! Confirm this bug as on December 24 2008

I have the same problem using menu commands, but when I try to insert rows into table manually (editing the source code) it seems to be working fine.

i am very new to linux/ubuntu - and not a nerd i am afraid ;p - but i confirm the problem with kompozer both on inserting images and tables - although i too can do it manually editing html code.

Confirmed on Ubuntu 8.10. Working fine on Ubuntu 8.04.
