17.6 is in bionic now. Generally, these kind of reports of new upstream versions being available are generally not very helpful. The devs in Ubuntu and Debian do follow the going-ons upstream on their own without these kinds of reports. We appreciate your desire to make Ubuntu better, but these reports are mostly noise.
