Hangs: reliably on exit, occasionally when Alt+Tabbed elsewhere

Kodi reliably hangs whenever I choose exit from the power menu. It also often hangs when I Alt+Tab away from it to other applications. I'm then sometimes able to "kill" it, other times I seem to have to logout and log back in.

Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.

There are numerous reports of problems to exit kodi. That being said, may I ask if you can verify this in artful or bionic?
