Bug Description

Binary package hint: network-manager

lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu intrepid (development branch)
Release: 8.10

NetworkManager version (from dpkg-l):
0.7~~svn20080818t061112+eni0-0ubuntu

knetworkmanager -v
Qt: 3.3.8b
KDE: 3.5.10
KNetworkManager: 0.7

With the above combination, I am able to sucessfully connect to a wired network, but cannot connect to a wireless network (Tried with WPA2 personal and WEP/64). To reproduce:

Click knetworkmanager icon, edit connections
Click New, wireless connection
Select correct AP from list, click next
Select WPA personal from list, fill in Shared Key
Click connect and save, find the following in /var/log/syslog:

Sep 1 15:33:39 laptop NetworkManager: <WARN> connection_get_settings_cb(): connection_get_settings_cb: Invalid connection: 'NMSettingIP4Config' / 'method' invalid: 1
Sep 1 15:33:44 laptop NetworkManager: <WARN> wait_for_connection_expired(): Connection (2) /org/freedesktop/NetworkManagerSettings/Connection/4 failed to activate (timeout): (0) Connection was not provided by any settings service
(Sorry doesnt seem to be very useful info, please request more and I'll post it.)

Expected outcome: complete steps above, connect sucessfully to wireless network.

The wireless card (Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection (rev 02)) works perfectly the "wicd" connection manager, so it doesnt seem to be a hardware issue.
