Bug Description

Binary package hint: knetworkconf

A recent Gutsy system update has made it so the ethernet connection is not brought up at startup. I look in network settings and it says its enabled and set to start at boot, but I have to hit disable then enable it again in order to get it to be brought up (from the gui anyway).

Running Kubuntu Gutsy with latest updates.

Today's release of network-manager (0.6.5-0ubuntu7) has fixed this issue for me. Please consider this bug report fixed.

Hi
for me it is better, but not completely fixed, for on reboot, ADSL broadband is still offline .
Networking in system settings shows the Ethernet port to be configured.
However the panel icon is disabled.
The port is a CK804 Nvidia 100MB/S, which worked fine on installation for a while, but updates seem to have corrupted things.
It now only requires one disable-enable in networking to achieve connection, instead of 6 or more.
However on my machine at least it is not yet fixed on rebooting!
So guess I'll make a bug report.
