Bug Description
Binary package hint: kmplayer
The latest flashplugin-nonfree doesn't work with Konqueror's nspluginviewer. See LP#189875. But there's a workaround to use KMPlayer with the NP Player instead, as described here http://
From the comments (by Børre Gaup):
> To get knpplayer in kubuntu (hardy) I did this:
> sudo apt-get build-dep kmplayer
> apt-get source kmplayer
> cd kmplayer-0.10.0c
> vim debian/
> Added the line usr/bin/knpplayer
> Compiled the package with the command: debuild -i -us -uc -b
> cd ..
> sudo dpkg -i kmplayer_
> Hope this helps!
It seems like KMPlayer 0.10 is needed so I'll file an additional bug for gutsy-backports.
Thanks,
Malte

This workaround does the job very well. It's not perfect though. For example, playing flash radio on last.fm doesn't work. There's another problem too. Maximizing flash videos to full screen is buggy. :-
1.Go to youtube.com
2. Open up a video
3. Maximize video to full screen.
4. It works
Now do the following:
Repeat steps 1 and 2, then before step 3 click on the KDE Panel. The KDE Panel covers the lower portion of the video. A workaround for this problem is to enable hiding the KDE Panel by:
1.Right Click KDE Panel
2.Goto Configure Panel
3.Choose the appropriate hiding settings from the Hiding section
None of these problems occur with Firefox.
