Bug Description

Ubuntu upgrade to 13.04 went south and nothing so far is fixing the issue entirely.
Ran sudo apt-get update --fix-missing followed by a sudo apt-get upgrade --fix-missing, it worked itself out for a few minutes and appeared to be making progress but then stopped and prompted me with an error,

"Processing triggers for ureadahead ...
Processing triggers for initramfs-tools ...
update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-3.8.0-6-generic
modprobe: ../tools/modprobe.c:550: print_action: Assertion `kmod_module_get_initstate(m) == KMOD_MODULE_BUILTIN' failed.
Aborted (core dumped)
"

Details:
lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu Raring Ringtail (development branch)
Release: 13.04

apt-cache policy pkgname
N: Unable to locate package pkgname

Thanks a lot!
