kleopatra incorrect default extension

Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS

In configuring Kleopatra settings for crypto operations, the file settings specification is

[tick box] Create OpenPgP encrypted files with ".pgp" insetad of ".gpg"

However, when the box is left unticked, Kleopatra still saves with ".pgp" when it should save with ".gpg"
