Bug Description

Kino is able to control the camera via firewire, timecode is transmitted to Kino, but no sound and no picture. Only a few pixel at the beginning of the file. No captured video is stored.
Dvgrab says:
"": damaged frame near: timecode ??:??:??.?? date ????.??.?? ??:??:??
This means that there were missing or invalid FireWire packets.
 or
"dvgrab-001.dv": damaged frame near: timecode 07:06:27.19 date ????.??.?? ??:??:??
I searched all board for more information, all files are checked without any effect.

Seeing the same thing here, I think. I have one camera (a older Sony DCR-TRV730) which works fine with firewire (both Kino and dvgrab). I bought a newer Samsung SC-D383, plugged it in and got message like the ones described.
