kGmailNotifer does not show the mail after upgrading to 14.04

Bug Description
Hello,
I recently upgraded from 12.04 to 14.04 and realized that kGmailNotifer does not work anymore. It is installed, however while showing the mail detail (at the separate message which show up for fraction of second at the left corner of laptop), it does not have the feature of showing mail detail anymore. Though, it look like that some vague message has pop up but it is not visible at all.
I wonder if it can be fixed?
