X doesnt shut down. Requires CTRL ALT BACKSPACE to kill it so it can shut down

Bug Description
I cant seem to logout of X. For shutting down, restart, logout, it just hangs. Then I have to explicitly CTRL ALT BACKSPACE to kill X, which then lets logout/
