Bug Description

When I copy the username/password to the clipboard, I see messages like:

SendMessage (75497497, 0x444, 0x1, 0x98d4f98)

but the username/password is NOT copied to the clipboard. 100% repeatable.

I am on 11.04 with all packages up-to-date as at now.

Any ideas?

does it not paste in any application?
gnome-terminal is known to do funny stuff with the clipboard, you have to use ctrl+shift+insert to get something pasted there.

are you using a clipboard manager?

Ouch. The behaviour has changed. I tested extensively prior to submitting, however, after making the following two changes things seem to be working again:

1. Close VMWare Player (suspending Windows VM) and restart (resuming VM).
2. Suspend laptop overnight.

Now, everything appears to work OK, noting as Julian did above, the gnome-terminal funny stuff.

So, I can no longer reproduce. Julian, would you please close?
