I can confirm this error.

As no reason, Quanta crashes when editing text files

Malix... do you still have this error?, because I do, and I didn't figure out how to solve it.

Thanx!

Hi kai,
the problem is stil here. And I can't find a solution. I install kdewebdev-dbg and try to get the core dump with no lack. So I ca't determine when the crash happen and how to reproduce it.
I try with Valgrind too, but is impossibile to work with quanta because is to much slow.
What I discover is that the crash happens more often after the first crash. This let me suppose that the memory is dirty. Another consideration is that I work on files via ftp and I think that the problem is not quanta but KIO slave, but sumone that know kde better may be can tell me how to get a core dump, if this is the case.
I hope you understand my poor english.

Byy Malix.

Hmmm, I dont think the kio-slave was the problem,
because I dont use it in my everyday work with Quanta.

But I cant find a posibility to replicate this error.
Its random!

Anyway, we are still with no luck,

Cheers!

This crash persists in Quanta 3.5.6 (Ubuntu 7.04) editing a PHP file, which is stored on an NFS share. I've attached the PHP file I was editing, but essentially anything from dotProject seems to trigger it. The moments when the software crashes are random but it seems to occur more often when I alt+tab away in the middle of editing. This is really starting to get on my nerves since I'm constantly having to redo my work ;)
