Subversion plugin still not being shipped

kdevplatform-libs still doesn't ship the Subversion plugin, the package doesn't contain a "kdevsubversion.so".

Initially this was caused by licensing issues (see https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=322225), but these have been resolved long time ago. Debian also ships the library: https://packages.debian.org/search?searchon=contents&keywords=kdevsubversion.so&mode=exactfilename&suite=testing&arch=any

So, I'm hereby asking to drop the patch that disables compilation/installation of the Subversion plugin.

TEST CASE:
launch kdevelop
Project -> New Project -> Next -> Version Control dropdown -> Subversion

if you can select that the plugin is available and working

Accepted kdevplatform into utopic-proposed. The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kdevplatform/1.7.0-0ubuntu1.1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users.

Works for me. Tested with vivid-proposed.

% dpkg -L kdevplatform8-libs | grep kdevsubversion.so
/usr/lib/kde4/kdevsubversion.so

I set up trusty on an ec2 and installed kubuntu-desktop and used vnc to log in
I installed kdevelop 1.6.0-0ubuntu1 and make a new project. in the new project wizard it did not show subversion in the list of revision control systems to use.
I insatlled kdevelop 1.6.0-0ubuntu1.1 from trusty-proposed, restarted kdevelop, made a new project, this time it showed me subversion from the list of revision control systems to use.

Subsequently, the Ubuntu Stable Release Updates Team is being unsubscribed and will not receive messages about this bug report. In the event that you encounter a regression using the package from -updates please report a new bug using ubuntu-bug and tag the bug report regression-update so we can easily find any regressions.
