Bug Description

It seems that the kdevelop4 beta is failing to load any plugins on startup... here's the console output:
<unknown program name>(20043)/ KDevelop::allocateRepository: The process holding "/home/dreisinger/.kdevduchain/0" with pid 19933 does not exists any more. Re-using the directory.
<unknown program name>(20043)/ KDevelop::allocateRepository: picked duchain directory "/home/dreisinger/.kdevduchain/0"
<unknown program name>(20043)/ KDevelop::ItemRepositoryRegistry::open: version-hint not found, seems to be an old version
<unknown program name>(20043)/ KDevelop::ItemRepositoryRegistry::open: "The data-repository at /home/dreisinger/.kdevduchain/0 has to be cleared."
<unknown program name>(20043)/ KDevelop::allocateRepository: picked duchain directory "/home/dreisinger/.kdevduchain/0"
Calling appendChild() on a null node does nothing.
Calling appendChild() on a null node does nothing.

I cannot do anything but text edit without the plugins I think!
Also, the tool view selection list is empty!

This is on kubuntu intrepid ibex running kde 4.2

Thanks!

Installing kdevplatform manually should solve the problem in case you don't want to wait for the new package to build.

I am on kubuntu 8.10 with kde 4.2.
I compiled kdevplatform and kdevelop from svn and properly setted $KDEDIRS ( /usr/lib/kde4:/usr/local/lib/kde4:/usr/share/kde4:/usr/local/share/kde4:/usr/local/share/applications/kde4:/usr/local/share/doc/kde4:/usr/local/share/emoticons/kde4:/usr/lib/kde4:/usr/local/lib/kde4:/usr/local/share/kde4: )
 also I have ran

gioacchino@HackLab:~/Desktop/development/kdevelop/kdevelop$ kbuildsycoca4
kbuildsycoca4 running...
