Bug Description

Binary package hint: python2.6

Sorry, I don't know. I was trying to print a document and the printer suddenly started misbehaving. I do not know if this is connected to the error message, which as a newcomer I did not understand.
Jenny

I think i have another version of this problem. On my computer mtink reads the ink level on my Epson C87 printer and the printer configuration tool can see the printer but no documents print. Python is involved as the message is a python one (printer seems not to be connected), and it is python that crashes. Please check the error handling as I have found too many instances of crashes due to improper inputs.

I'm just a simple user, but it seems to me that I only had the problem because I was trying to print a document larger than the printer paper. Once I discovered the setting and formatted the document appropriately I was able to print with no more crash reports going off.

this didn't do the trick here, I still have the python2.6 problem when printing documents. sometimes just 1 pages comes out, sometimes more. Repeating can do the trick but is not a solution.

Most problem occur when printing duplex (I do have a LBP 5100 canon printer installed with the premade 64bit packages on the ubuntu page)
