Bug Description

Binary package hint: kdebase-kde4

In Kwallet, unselecting the "show manager in system tray" option does not remove the system tray icon.

This was tested in Kubuntu 8.10 with the default configurations (indeed, within minutes of the initial install).

Do you mean that when you unselect the "show manager in system tray" option, the tray icon disappears? That would be the expected behaviour, but it is not what I get. The tray icon stays in the tray on my system, which is a brand-new install of Kubuntu 8.10 alpha 3.

Yes, when I unselect that option kwallet disappears from the system tray.

Doesn't work here, though I am quite sure that it will not appear upon next login.

Jonathan, maybe no application had a lock on it? That would certainly explain the working state.

Anyway, this should be forwarded to KDE http://bugs.kde.org

Hi there!

Thanks for reporting this bug! Your bug seems to be a problem with the KDE program itself, and not with our KDE packages. While we appreciate your issue, it would be better if it was tracked at https://bugs.kde.org, so that the KDE developers can deal with this speedily and have direct communication with you as the reporter for more effective debugging.

Thanks!
