Bug Description

after installing Kubuntu 7.10 the multimedia volume keys (Volume up/down) stopped controlling the volume (Mute sill works).

when using them, the volume popup does appear, but the volume change only from 0% to 11% without changing any actual volume settings.

the volume settings from KMIX does work.

I run kubuntu on top of ubuntu. In both a live cd session and a session from the hdd install have the same problem. When I am in gnome, I was able to find a setting to get it back working, but in kde, I still can't find a way to fix the 0-11%. Also, my mute does not work.

This worked in 7.04.
