Binary package hint: kdesvn
Since the update of svn to 1.5, kdesvn no longer works properly
I have a lot of unicode related error message boxes:
"Invalid UTF-8 data
...
(hex: b0 76 47 08)"
When I try to commit kdesvn crashes |
Binary package hint: kdesvn
In hardy-backports current version of subversion is 1.5.1dfsg1-1ubuntu2~hardy2 . This version is however imcompatible with the version of kdesvn (newest version 0.14.1-1).
Support for svn 1.5 is added in a much later version of kdesvn. From the upstream changelog:
version 1.0.0: * integrated direct support for subversion 1.5
Currently it causes these problems:
A lot of unicode related error message boxes:
"Invalid UTF-8 data
...
(hex: b0 76 47 08)"
When trying to commit kdesvn crashes.
Eg. with hardy-backports enabled fully kdesvn is useless.
I would suggest updating kdesvn in hardy-backports to the version currently in debian unstable (1.0.4-2). This would fix at least these bugs: LP: #250544, #268112, #277049
I've done a test build of 1.0.4-2 against hardy-backports and kdesvn runs perfectly. The test build can be found here: http://awen.dk/packages/kdesvn/ |
