Bug Description

I've updated from Ubuntu 8.04 to 8.10 rc. There's now no possibility to configure External Tools in kate.

I've activated External tools in Settings → configure → Plugin Manager. I see the External Tools menu in Tools → External Tools, but there's no entry to configure it in Settings → configure, as it was the case in Ubuntu 8.04. So I just can't personalize it.

I've set the status to "Fix Released", but I have now a doubt. Is it that must be done?

No :P
The appropriate status would be Fix Committed. If it was committed for KDE 4.1.3 it would also get intrepid-updates as milestone and would be set to Fix Released once the package is published. Otherwise it doesn't get a Milestone and gets set to Fix Released whenever the fix arrives in the 9.04 development branch.

hi all, sorry i'm not sure how the process works in ubuntu, but how can i get this fix onto my PC? i actually represent a development team that makes use of the "external tools" section substantially for putting our development stuff into production, so none of the developers can upgrade until i figure out how to add external tools again.

much appreciated!
