Bug Description

After accepting some outlook (argh) invitations, kmail automatically adds the events to KOrganizer.

Problem is, KOrganizer apparently don't save them: when opened later, the events just disappeared.

Events created by myself did work

Ubuntu Dapper:

$ uname -a
Linux galactica 2.6.15.1-ubuntu1.20060206 #1 SMP Mon Feb 6 09:04:51 BRST 2006 x86_64 GNU/Linux

$ dpkg --list | grep korganizer
ii korganizer 3.5.1-0ubuntu1 KDE personal organizer

Does it still happen for you ? Can you reproduce the bug ?

A couple of versions later, the bug no longer happened, but korganizer wouldn't open, and kmail hanged waiting for it.

I had to kill the korganizer process (the window that didn't open), and kmail would be back. Or, if I kill kmail, korganizer would start ... !?!?

at that point I gave up on kmail.

btw, just tried it again now, and the same thing happen: when I accept an invitation, korganizer is started, but it never opens. And kmails hangs waiting for it.

thanks :)

I just tested this on an up-to-date Dapper install and have no issues with meeting requests nor any hangs, etc. Are you still experiencing issues? Thank you.

I don't have any pending invitation I could test now, but the test I did a couple of days ago was done on an up-to-date Dapper for AMD-64.

I am using Gnome desktop, with a few KDE applications opened, notably Kate, Kmail and KDevelop. Could tihs be related ?

Closing after several months of 'needs info'. Jan Pfeifer: please reopen if this is still an issue.
