Bug Description

An Akonadi resoruce is crashing every few hours. The Crash Reporting Assistent pops up. "Install Debug Symbols" installed kdepim-runtime-dbg, but anyway the assistent insists that the debug symbols are missing:

> The packages containing debug information for the following application and libraries are missing:
> /usr/bin/akonadi_davgroupware_resource

Version is 4:15.08.2-0ubuntu1 of all kdepim-runtime, kdepim-runtime-dbg and akonadi-server

I am on Kubuntu 15.10

Similar problem here (almso wily). A Plasma crash and install -symbols of crash assistent was not completely sucessful. Assistant listed those as missing:

/usr/bin/plasmashell
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libQt5Core.so.5
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libQt5Widgets.so.5
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libQt5Quick.so.5

AFAIU without complete set of libQt5core dbg symbols it's hard to report any KDE related problem.

P.S. Here's an example of unresolved symbols

Are the qtbase5-dbg debug symbols not enough in your case?

@Timo at least for my original report, qtbase5-dbg does not help any more. Can I be helpful in any other way? What else of information to provide?

@Arthur: I mean I don't believe there's currently anything missing from the Qt packages regarding debugging symbols.

Looking at the trace, you'd want both qtbase5-dbg and qtdeclarative5-dbg. Those would cover the three Qt libraries mentioned, and not installing those packages would be more bug in the crash assistant.

For plasmashell, probably http://ddebs.ubuntu.com/pool/universe/p/plasma-workspace/plasma-workspace-dbgsym_5.4.2-0ubuntu2_amd64.ddeb or something would be needed.

The trace is from Achim, not mine.

My backtrace is just:

Application: Akonadi Resource (akonadi_davgroupware_resource), signal: Aborted

I have had qtbase5-dbg installed. After installing qtdeclarative5-dbg and plasma-workspace-dbg and reloading the backtrace, I still do not get anything else.
