I get the same,
Format: NTSC Xvid 1500k 2 pass, aspect 16:9

The crash occurs with "2 pass" at 50% rendering (i.e. when the first pass is complete). It does not occur with "1 pass".
I get an ".avi" output file which contains video and audio, and also a ".avi_2pass_log file".

Ubuntu Oneiric.
kdenlive is version 0.8.1+svn20111029
melt is version 0.7.5+git20111021

Same here when rendering to DVD PAL 16:9 2 pass. It crashes in melt. Resulting .vob file has video but no audio.

Doing the same in 1 pass doesn't crash. Strangely it is also missing audio.

Rendering audio only has audio.

Ubuntu Studio 11.10
Kdenlive
Version 0.8
Using KDE Development Platform 4.7.2 (4.7.2)

I also experience this problem.

Format: NTSC MPEG-4 12000k 2 pass (default profile)
When rendering crashes, output file gets video stream, but no audio.

Ubuntu Oneiric amd64, everything up-to-date.

Kdenlive 0.8
Using KDE Development Platform 4.7.3 (4.7.3)
MLT melt 0.7.4

Can anyone tell me how to get a crash log like the original poster? I've tried the "Generate script" option and runnig it from the command line, but I don't get any more information than when running in the UI.

For me, I only get the crash with 2 pass. But even with 1 pass, the video comes out with no audio.

I switched this PPA from the kdenlive project:

https://launchpad.net/~sunab/+archive/kdenlive-release?field.series_filter=oneiric

And now everything works fine!
