Bug Description
Rendering a video audio mix back to anyone of the standard available formats, results in a output file without audio.
Research into this bug delivered me to
https:/
"This issue appeared when libmlt6 was recompiled against libav* 0.11, and
reinstalling libmlt6 0.9.2-1 and the older libav* dependencies - now
only available at snapshot.debian.org - it works correctly again."
and this too :-
MLT linkage with libav* 0.11 has apparently been fixed upstream now:
https:/
There is a PPA on Launchpad, by Olivier Banus here :-
https:/
I couldn't get that to install on 14.10 Plasma 5, most likely a dependency, as apt-get said it was holding back
kdenlive kdenlive-data and libmlt6
I sense that what is required is to update the sources, and repackage against the latest stable binaries.

We were dependent on the updated versions of avconv to correct this Bug. I did look into packaging the latest version from upstream which would correct this issue, but that turned out to be significantly more complex then I anticipated.
However, I returned to testing the again using Kdenlive packaged for Kubuntu 15.04 and I am delighted to say that it is now rendering with audio correctly.
Thus I am closing this Bug.

I am working on packaging updated versions of kdenlive, kdenlive-data, melt, libav-tools
Track progress via bug (LP: #1402216)
The plan is to have this all fixed up for 15.04 Vivid
