Dapper, flight 5: works, then stops

Bug Description

On a Toshiba M55-S3314, the wireless card isn't configurable during install; it's an Integrated Intel Pro/Wireless Network Connection 2200BG(802.11b/g). Once up and running, it can be selected, WEP pass put in, and it will work off-and-on. It will often just "drop" the connection, and the only way to make it work again is to reboot.

This sounds like it could be more of a driver issue. Do you run Gnome at all or can you configure it from the command line and everything works OK? Thank you.

Hi Barry,

I just installed Dapper Beta 2 on my machine. I've not had a chance yet to work with the wireless. I'm running Gnome almost exclusively now.

Even though I haven't had time to get the wireless configured, it *does* see everything, so I'll work with it over the next few days and let you guys know. In the meantime, if you want to see any of the boot logs or anything to check configurations, etc., I'll be happy to pull them off for you

Thanks,
Dan

I noticed that the last update to this bug was with Dapper Beta 2. I was wondering if you could update your system to Dapper 6.06.1 LTS and see if you are still having the same problem. If you are please update this bug, if you aren't then please reject this bug as it is working correctly.

Thanks,

Jonathan

My apologies for not closing this out. It was corrected by the time Dapper 6.06 LTS was released. It works just fine now.

Thanks,
Dan
