kopete hacker theme has black text on black background

When choosing the hacker theme, or any of it's variants, all of my text in a given chat window doesn't show up unless I highlight it. It shows up in the input window just fine, but not in the chat window once I hit enter. The theme appears to incorrectly use black text on a black background for all the user's displayed text. Oddly, it doesn't look that way in the preview.

This is with 8.10 ibex, with all latest packages as of 9/18/2008.

The kopete source package houses an old version of Kopete. The latest Kopete lives in kdenetwork since Hardy on.

Anyway, I can confirm the issue.

I have a problem with the hacker style, because Kopete sets the font color normally black. So if you have the hackerstyle the fonts should be white, but the box, in which you are writing is white.
If you set the fonts white, you can't see what you are writing in the box, but when you sent the message you see it in the Messagebox.
If you set the fonts black, you see what you are writing, but you can't see it in the Messagebox.

I think this is fixed in Kopete Version 1.3.2. Hacker style fonts are defined by the style variants (black text on white BG, light text on blac BG).

For the input box the font and BG colors are user-defineable. But there is still the black cursor on black BG problem, tracked in bug 265224
