Bug Description

I've upgraded from 12.04 to kubuntu 12.10 and I can no longer play cds with amarok or kscd.
The cd is recognised and the tracks displayed but attempting to play them does nothing, there's no noticeable warnings/errors when I run the apps interactively but click the start button and nothing happens - no sound, the progress bar (on the track) doesn't move, the application doesn't lock up it just sits there and I can move to another (non-cd) track without problems.

Before the upgrade amarok was working fine with the gstreamer backend (version 4.6.2 from backports), sound is fine tracks on the hard drive play ok and I can play cds with audacious.

I placed a bug with amarok https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=309090 and was redirected here

I've upgraded to 13.04 and can no longer replicate this problem, so - I think - as far as 13.04 is concerned this bug can be closed
