2007-03-16 00:50:19 Yuriy Kozlov kdelibs: statusexplanation hal knows the label of the CD-ROM, but the Kubuntu media management layer has to actually use it. It works that way in gnome-vfs. On Feisty, I tried inserting a DVD movie and I got a DVD icon on the desktop that said MovieName (cdrom0). Do you get the right icons? How about the name?

2007-06-09 02:14:32 Rich Johnson kdelibs: statusexplanation On Feisty, I tried inserting a DVD movie and I got a DVD icon on the desktop that said MovieName (cdrom0). Do you get the right icons? How about the name? I am going to fix release this and attaching the image to show. I do remember this in the past with this same exact DVD, and when i just now tried this issue isn't present. I am attaching a screenshot as proof. If you feel this is still an issue, I urge you to reopen this bug. Thank you. NOTE: If you are using Feisty, I would recommend upgrading to KDE 3.5.7 via the instructions at http://kubuntu.org/announcements/kde-357.php
