Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. This bug did not have a package associated with it, which is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper developers. You can learn more about finding the right package at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage .

Can you specify which Ubuntu version you are using and which application where you trying to work with when this error happened. Did this crash cause any problem in using the application? Giving these details would help us to know more precisely about your problem and help you getting it solved.

Ubuntu 7.10 - the Gutsy Gibbon. I had firefox open after i opened the Amarok and when i tried to close the Amarok window (not Quit, Close) this provided error happened. No this error didn't cause any problem to any application. I' ll try to follow the link you provided.

i opened the Amarok again and when i click on the close button appears a message which i will try to translate. It tells me: "At a previous start, KNotify collapsed. Do you want to retry or disable the aRts sound exit?. If you choose to disable the aRts sound exit now, you can enable it again later or choose another one sound producer from the control panel."

this is it i hope it will help

Thanks for the additional info. If you have any other application from Kubuntu/KDE installed (to which Amarok belongs to as well) which uses Knotify, can you please try to open them, follow the same procedure you did and report them. Want to know whether Amarok is causing knotify to crash or is it generally caused when using any KDE application in GNOME.

As knotify comes under kdelibs, I move the bug to kdelibs package.
