Bug Description

When I try to upgrade kdelibs-data from version 4:3.4.0-0pre1ubuntu2 to version
4:3.4.0-0ubuntu3 i get the following error

E:
/var/cache/apt/archives/kdelibs-data_4-0x1.24a3b0000005ap-1333.4.0-0ubuntu3_all.deb:
trying to overwrite `/usr/share/icons/default.kde', which is also in package
knetworkconf

should knetworkconf be writing it's icons to default.kde?

Thanks

Tony

I have the same problem using amd64
My solution was to uninstall knetworkconf, upgrade kdelibs-data, then install
knetworkconf again and it worked.

I can confirm that this procedure seems to work however it should not be considered a solution
to the problem! (note: I also had to remove and reinstall kubuntu desktop however there did not
seem to be any upsets to my system.... yet)

Many users are struggling with this over at

They report losing various desktop setting (e.g. taskbars, main menu, applets,
usb-mount icons) that they have no idea how to replace after an auto-update.

This is a very critical bug.
