kgamma installs... but there's no indication how to run it

Binary package hint: kgamma

I have installed kgamma 4:4.1.3-0ubuntu1~intrepid1 into my Kubuntu 8.10 64-bit system...

But I can't figure out how to run it.

1. It doesn't seem to be in the K menu anywhere (or at least not anywhere obvious).
2. It doesn't seem to be in System Settings (which is where I expected it; that's where it was in KDE3, under Computer Administration | Monitor & Display; but it's not under System Settings | Computer Administration | Display, or anywhere else that I can see).
3. It doesn't run from a terminal.

So Kubuntu needs to make it much more obvious how to run kgamma.

The problem is that kgamma's .desktop file neither specifies a parent systemsettings module nor declares a category to place it if it was a standalone module. It's a simple one-liner fix though.

You should get in touch with Aaron Seigo, who appears to be responsible for kdegraphics, maybe he knows why it is not listed. From looking through the commits log I see no reference that this was intentional, but you never know.
