Bug Description

When i start kstars in french with the command: LANG=fr_CA.UTF-8 LC_ALL=fr_CA.UTF-8 LANGUAGE=fr_CA.UTF-8 kstars

Right click on "mars" then "Page Wikipedia" doesn't start anything, it work fine in english.

Here is the output of my console

kstars(16305) SkyMap::slotInfo: InfoList index out of bounds: -1
kstars(16305) SkyMap::slotInfo: Message string " "Page Wikipedia" " not found in InfoTitle.
kstars(16305) SkyMap::slotInfo: ("Wikipedia Page", "SEDS Information Page", "NASA JPL Page", "The Mariner 10 Mission")

This is on gnome-intrepid and kubuntu.

Could you update kstars to the version provided with KDE 4.2 Release Candidate 1 by adding the repository listed here: http://www.kubuntu.org/news/kde-4.2-rc1 ?
Testing with 4.2 RC1 would be greatly appreciated, since we cannot reproduce the bug here. (Using French, of course)

Thanks for your reply.

Ok, I did install ubuntu interpid desktop from the official CD in french
update the system:
# apt-get dist-upgrade

add your ppa, install kstars:
# apt-get upate && apt-get install kstars

install language-pack-kde-fr language-pack-kde-fr-base:
# apt-get install language-pack-kde-fr language-pack-kde-fr-base

Launch kstars in a console. right click on the moon, select "Page wikipedia", and i got the same error.

if you need more info just ask, i'll be glad to answer.

Marc

Hey Marc,

Thank you for your quick reply, unfortunately we are quite busy triaging bugs and getting the upcoming release into shape, so it took us a time to come back to you :)

We'll try to reproduce this again as soon as possible.
One thing I'd like to know in the mean time: is this issue still present in KDE 4.2.0?

When I conducted the test, I used a french Kubuntu installation. Still it would be weird if the issue was related to KStars being run within a gnome session, since the console output indicates an internal KStars error rather than with an external interaction (e.g. launching the actual browser).

Thanks for now, and have a nice day :)
