kdeconnect-plasma seems already to be in there? (as "recommends") Following bug #1430590 it doesn't automatically autoreplace the hopefully still maintained KF4 version. Whereas we'd like to ask to have it backported to Trusty, once this bugreport is closed.

It would be really nice to have this app really in sync with Androids APP store, which is now 0.8-D

There seems to be a chance to have tis change reflected in the upcoming changelog of kdeconnect V.0.8 - as terms of documentation -

like: "Users of KF5 may manually switch to kdeconnect-plasma, which replaces the KF4-version then"

btw.: it just pushed the <10³ users mark in Google's App-store :-)

Excuses if my mentioning here is inappropiate, I didn't want to mix the KF4-issue with bug #1427349 (FFe KDE Connect for Plasma 5 | status=fix released).

But I don' really have a clue how find the right steps to request backporting for Trusty.
