KDE Storage Media panel-applet doesn't show media on startup

Bug #53174 reported by Auke Latour on 2006-07-16
Affects Status Importance Assigned to Milestone
kdebase (Ubuntu)

Bug Description

The KDE Storage Media panel-applet doesn't show CD's, USB-sticks etc. when the system is booted with the CD / USB-stick already inserted / plugged in.

When inserting a CD or plugging in a USB-stick if I have already logged in, they appear correctly in the Storage Media applet.

Thank you for filing this bug.

What version of (K)ubuntu and KDE were you using when you ran into this issue? Do you still have this problem with Edgy or Feisty?

Does the media get mounted on boot?

I found this bug in Kubuntu 6.06. On Kubuntu 6.06, the media didn't get mounted on boot.

At the moment I use Edgy, and with Edgy this bug doesn't occur.
