Bug Description

Binary package hint: kdebase

uptodate karmic: KDE 3.4.2: konsole 4:4.3.2-0ubuntu1 (but problem was there also in KDE 4.2)

I've added 3 profiles. In Settings -> Manage Profiles ... for all of them I've selected ShowInMenu and assigned a shortcut.
Everytime I logout/in or start konsole again. The settings very lost :(

After setting the settings again, I've checked modified time of ~/.kde/share/config/konsolerc and ~/.kde/share/apps/konsole/*.desktop and last update of all of them was days back and not just some minutes.
Quit and start of konsole: again, konsolerc, and *.desktop files not updated and settings were lost.

Workaround:

In order to write this bug report, I switched the language to english (was german) and restarted konsole. Now magicly the settings were not forgotten. Tata, konsolerc was updated. Konsolerc contains now [Favorite Profile] and [Profile Shortcus] sections.

This provesonce more that reporting bugs is really helpful ;)

Hi there!

Thanks for reporting this bug! Your bug seems to be a problem with the KDE program itself, and not with our KDE packages. While we appreciate your issue, it would be better if it was tracked at https://bugs.kde.org, so that the KDE developers can deal with this speedily and have direct communication with you as the reporter for more effective debugging.

Thanks!
